The Purpose of UMW

The organized unit of United Methodist Women (UMW) shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as a whole through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Here at St. Luke's we have a day and evening UMW group, which both meet monthly. The day group focuses on mission and studies on a local and global level. The evening group also encompasses our evening crafters group. This groups focuses on missions and studies on a smaller level. We have a short devotional time, then work on our own craft projects or simply just sit and talk.
