Low Key is a spiritually centered recovery meeting that includes live music each week performed by some of the most talented musicians in the area. The one-hour service also features a step speaker who shares their experience on one of the 12 steps mid-way through the service. Low Key is open to anyone who wants to enjoy the music and food and find a positive fellowship experience, not only those in recovery! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and music starts at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary

Ready to help your kids take on the new school year? Bring your kids and their backpacks, lunchboxes, or whatever they will bring to school with them daily and have them blessed by Pastor Megan Twyman. All are welcome, and each kid will receive a free backpack charm to remind them that God has always got their back! And we didn’t forget about you teachers-you are welcome to get blessings for your satchels, laptop bags, or whatever else you want to bring.

St. Luke’s UMC is celebrating with our Back-to-School Carnival on Sept.7th from 1-3 p.m. We will have popcorn, hot dogs, and cotton candy, as well as a bouncy house, carnival games, and prizes. This event has free admission and is open to the public!

For July, “Wacky Wednesday” will be a field trip to Tinseltown for a movie at the theater! Cost is $20 per person, which includes movie tickets, concessions, and transportation. You may meet us at the church at 9 a.m. or at the movie theater, but you must RSVP to 318-617-3788 so that we know how many tickets to purchase at the group rate. (need-based financial assistance is available)
