Trunk-or-Treat

Our annual safe, family friendly Halloween trick-or-treating experience in the St. Luke’s UMC parking lot. Each vehicle is decorated and has own candy station, prizes, or games. And there’s also a “spooky bus”! This event is welcome to all members of our community.

Breakfast with Santa

Kids get to have a pancake breakfast with Santa, make a holiday craft, and then tell Santa what they want for Christmas. Excellent photo opps for Mom & Dad! Event is open to the public but pre-registration is required.

Churchwide Kids’ Events

Kids participate in churchwide events throughout the year, like the “All-Church Birthday Party.”

Our Mission

At St. Luke’s, our focus is on finding creative and fun ways to teach our children all about God’s love. During Sunday School, they learn about God’s word with Bible stories, hands-on activities, and through artistic expression and crafts. Children’s Church is concurrent with the 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship services. During the 10:45 a.m. service, there is a special “Children’s Message.” All children come from the children’s area to the front of the sanctuary to hear a special message that is related to the weekly sermon and are lead in their own special prayer.

Children then go to Children’s Church where they are nourished in spirit, soul, and body. The kids spend time in the children’s play area where they receive a simple snack and continue to participate in activities including arts & crafts and games that reinforce the Bible lessons they have learned. They also get plenty of exercise on our playground! It is our goal to provide a comfortable environment where every child can learn about Jesus and His love for them. A nursery is provided for children 4 years and under for the 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services.
